Receptionist / Office Assistant


Sugar Hill Capital Partners is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Office Assistant. The Receptionist will greet guests, answer phone calls as well as perform basic administrative tasks, including but not limited to, file organization/scanning, basic correspondence and basic office duties. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide reception and administrative support in a demanding, fast paced environment. This candidate must be fluent in Spanish. The hours are 8:30am to 5pm.


  • Greet guests as they arrive

  • Answer phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate department/person and relay messages

  • Assist with booking conference rooms for meetings

  • Receive tenant payments and provide receipts

  • Assist with file set up, organization and maintenance of file system including electronic database folders

Loan Servicing Associate

Fort Amsterdam Capital, the affiliated bridge lending arm of Sugar Hill Capital Partners, is searching for an associate to help in various loan servicing, operations and analytical aspects of its business. This person will report to and mainly assist Head of Operations on all servicing/operations and accounting duties and will assist the Senior Analyst on a as needed basis- mainly on the review of Due Diligence requirements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration, strong communication skills, be detail oriented, analytical, and be able to multitask between long-range projects and daily tasks.


  • Update all FAC folders in company server and files at the direction of the Head of Operations.

  • Assist with AP functions in MDS and recording debits and credits on a as needed basis.

  • Support the Head of Operations on Quarterly distributions for Fund investors.

  • Process Co-Lender & Third-party quarterly payments and receivables.

  • Participate in regular audits and activities related to taxes for FAC, specifically 1099’s & 1098 processing.

  • Respond to financial requests from Fund Administrator.

  • Responsible for recording and updating inter-company loan cash movements in MDS and Spreadsheet.

  • Review and distribute FAC Mail to appropriate parties.

  • Assist Head of FAC & Head of Operations with projects on an as needed basis.


  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration or related field of study.

  • At least 2 years experience in a Real Estate Investment Management firm (preferably a fund) or REIT.

  • Working knowledge of property management and accounting software, specifically Yardi or MDS and Loan software.

  • Strong understanding of real estate.

Leasing Manager

New Holland Residences

New Holland Residences, the independent property management division of wholly-integrated real estate company Sugar Hill Capital Partners,  is looking for an energetic, ambitious manager to join its team as a Leasing Manager.  The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing leasing matters with impeccable verbal/written communication skills and attention to details. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities a must.  The Leasing Manager will report to the Executive Director of Property Administration and have one direct report.


  • Oversee everyday leasing functions such as lease renewals, tenant inquiries and security deposit refunds; work effectively with legal team on matters related to rent regulation.

  • Familiarity with NYC rent regulation, related administrative matters and proceedings; ability to respond in writing to related matters.

  • Communicate with tenants clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, regarding leasing matters and general property management related matters while maintaining the highest level of customer service.

  • Ensure efficient reporting and compliance with all applicable City and State regulations.

  • Collaborate with accounting team on all rent-related matters to ensure best practices are established and maintained.

  • Resolve various complex issues such as: regulatory status of units, decision-making on issues effecting tenant’s legal status.

  • Make all updates necessary in rent management system, including new tenant information and vacancies.

  • Provide excellent customer service, including following up on resident service requests.

Tenant Legal Associate

New Holland Residences

New Holland Residences, the independent property management division of wholly-integrated real estate company Sugar Hill Capital Partners, is looking for an intellectually curious team-player to join our property management team as a Tenant Legal Associate.  This role will report to the Property Management Legal Director, with daily collaboration with our Leasing and Legal teams, including landlord/tenant counsel.  Candidates should understand NYC rent regulation and have a passion for New York City real estate.


  • Coordinate and strategize with outside landlord/tenant counsel to ensure effective handling of all potential and ongoing cases.

  • Draft correspondence pertaining to regulatory matters before DHCR and other NYC regulatory bodies and supervise compliance with all regulations.

  • Draft contracts and commercial leases; assist in leasing matters.

  • Participate in the resolution of matters pending before the DOB, ECB, and other regulatory agencies.


  • J.D. and minimum 1-3 years of experience in NYC real estate.

Sugar Hill Capital Partners is looking for a detail-oriented, outgoing, and entrepreneurial individual who will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications to support the firm’s marketing efforts, prepare communications, and implement arts initiatives across its family of companies.


  • Prepare, update and / or design marketing materials (e.g. websites, newsletters, presentations).

  • Support commercial art studio rental marketing efforts (e.g. photos, listings, marketing via classifieds, word of mouth, e-mail campaigns).

  • Coordinate public relations efforts (e.g. prepare briefs, package media content).

  • Manage social media outlets (e.g. Instagram and Yelp).

  • Provide support for the non-profit art Studio Program (e.g. membership enrollment, artwork tracking, moving / mounting, archiving, and program surveys).

  • Assist the gallery for the concept space and café Lil' Sister (e.g. client relations, prepare materials, coordinate events)
